When will new emojis appear on my phone?
After Unicode approves a release (usually in September), Apple ships the new emojis in an iOS update within a few months, Google adds them to Android and Gboard, and Samsung, Microsoft, WhatsApp and Meta follow on their own schedules. Copying an emoji from this page always gives you the correct Unicode character — whether it shows as artwork depends on the recipient’s device.
