How do I type the rupee symbol ₹?

On Windows with the English (India) keyboard layout, press Ctrl+Alt+4 (or AltGr+4). In Microsoft Word you can type 20B9 and press Alt+X. On most phone keyboards, long-press the currency key to see other signs, or copy ₹ from this page.

How do I type €, £ and ¥ on Windows and Mac?

On Windows, hold Alt and type 0128 for €, 0163 for £ or 0165 for ¥ on the numeric keypad. On a Mac with a US keyboard, use Option+Shift+2 for €, Option+3 for £ and Option+Y for ¥.

What is the difference between ₹ and ₨?

₹ is the Indian rupee sign, officially adopted in 2010. ₨ is the older generic rupee sign (Rs), still used for other rupees such as the Pakistani rupee.
