Music Symbols: Copy & Paste โ™ช

76 symbols

Music notes are a quick way to show that a post is about a song, a playlist or a mood. The everyday notes โ™ฉ โ™ช โ™ซ โ™ฌ and the accidentals โ™ญ โ™ฎ โ™ฏ are supported almost everywhere; the detailed score symbols like ๐„ž and ๐„ข come from a dedicated musical symbols block that some older devices cannot display. Player-control symbols are perfect for the popular "now playing" bio layout.

Frequently asked questions

How do I type music notes on a keyboard?

On Windows, hold Alt and type 13 on the numeric keypad for โ™ช or 14 for โ™ซ. In Microsoft Word, type 266B and press Alt+X for โ™ซ. On a Mac, open the Character Viewer with Control+Command+Space and search for "music".

What do โ™ญ, โ™ฎ and โ™ฏ mean?

In sheet music, โ™ญ (flat) lowers a note by a semitone, โ™ฏ (sharp) raises it by a semitone, and โ™ฎ (natural) cancels a previous flat or sharp. ๐„ซ and ๐„ช are the double flat and double sharp.

Why does ๐„ž show as a box?

The treble clef ๐„ž and other score symbols live in the Musical Symbols block, which not every system font covers. If it shows as a box, the device lacks a suitable font; โ™ช โ™ซ โ™ฌ are safer choices that display almost everywhere.
